There’s nothing quite like the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies wafting through the house. These classic cookies are a staple in many households and can bring back fond childhood memories. Ingredients:
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 1 cup brown sugar, packed
– 2 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 3 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat.

2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. You can use an electric mixer or mix by hand with a wooden spoon.

5. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

6. Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may still appear slightly undercooked, but they will firm up as the cookies cool.

8. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

9. Enjoy! These cookies are best eaten fresh out of the oven, while the chocolate chips are still gooey and the cookies are warm and chewy. They can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week, but they are so delicious that they usually don’t last that long.
